Cuisine et Santé

This is an experience, it is not for everyone. The vibe is rather hippy and laid back, but the focus is on the meals which are included. The cuisine is a school of Macrobiotic so lots of grains and simple veggies, and pretty much no meat, sugar, dairy products, or alcohol. It's a kind of food detox. It's also in a lovely part of France surrounded by beautiful villages. It's not for a short visit, to do it justice you need to do about 10 days I understand, although I enjoyed it and only went for 5.

A nice place & affordable but the food is sometimes compromised as they run on a budget! Also for a `healthy` place that provides food that supposidly is transformative I wondered why many people who lived there were still smoking???..life is challenging & ...Its about mastering yourself which clearly wasnt happening here!....Basically it had plenty of heart & community wise was very lovely but maybe stuck....the macrobiotics,using much salt, lots of gomashio, tamari in cooking/also as condiment. miso rarely in miso soup but spread on rice cakes for snacks! They conserve , boiling rice,noodles,vegetables in glass jars and then using them again often baking them in a dish...great if suddenly food supplies dry up/emergencies! Plenty of salt so plenty of desserts...twice daily! Lectures are in french/spanish translation...with a quite brave talk on sat night which i think was hard to comprehend for half the guests there...I left something behind and despite two emails, no reply. it isnt going to be returned which if that is where the conciousness is then i wont be returning. Theres a nice nature reserve, lake area you can go for walks....nearby town st gaudens lovely with good saturday market! Another guest who been coming for 10yrs said she thought they should increase the price to increase the quality of the food...people often return 1-3times yearly mainly and they want people to come, more people so they wont charge more money...i would nt minded paying another 100euros for food.

Everyone smells no hygiene and hippy cook . The place is run down no maintenance , The guy who gives the conference does not seem healthy and lack hygiene expecially rude to customers. Never again one the worst experience in my life

It's a very special place,unique.You have a lovely time and then you go home healthier than ever and always with new friends and with wider knowledge on macrobiotics and other issues realated to health and wellbeing:)
